Welcome to Stevecarrforjudge.com

Perry County Common Pleas Court.

We started Steve Carr for Judge with a simple goal in mind: to create a platform that makes it easy for voters of PERRY COUNTY to see the truths about the failures of the current Common Pleas administration and show how Steve Carr is the obvious choice to lead OUR court.

We will be sharing information here that the opposing candidate running as an Independent has being hiding from you.

Our goal is to provide you with proven information in hopes of supplying you with information that you the voter can use to make an informed decision as to the best candidate to represent US as Judge in the Perry County Common Pleas Court.

It's important to understand that this site is NOT endorsed, acknowledged or in any way supported by any candidate and is the sole responsibility of the webmaster.

No candidate has contacted us nor has the ability to submit, change, subtract any information to this site. Media obtained and added to this site was/is gleaned from public sources including flyers and pictures.

Nothing will be posted to this site without our due diligence as to its accuracy.

ALL POSTINGS HERE ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH PUBLIC RECORD.

Boyer enjoys pictures with members of the Court of Appeals.

Boyer loves to show pictures of her with members of The Fifth District Court of Appeals. What she isn't telling you is she knows all the members of the Appeals Court very well because at least 17 of her cases have been overturned in appeals. With 17 reversals for "errors" seems a bit of a conflict.

UPDATE 4/21/2026

Isn't it a conflict that Boyer brought members of the Appeals Court into OUR courtroom for a photo the same day they are hearing an appeal

from her court?

UPDATE 5/23/26 MORE LIES FROM THE BENCH!

  • Tina is feeling that she deserves over visiting judges. She is as crooked as her smile!

  • She tries to tell you in a clip in a local papers, her version of why using visiting judges is so important.

  • There are definite reasons for stepping away from cases. We have showed here her abuse of the use of that system for her own political gain.

You work hard for your money! Check this out!

Boyer has announced another fundraiser for her campaign.

Our Perry County Common Pleas Judge makes around $160,000 to $170,000 a year this is public record.

Among other things she has spent YOUR tax payments on nearly $80,000 for visiting judges and still thinks it's ok to beg you to finance her campaign. We Can't afford Boyer.

Judge Boyer runs away again! We can't afford Boyer!

When longtime local attorney Valerie Wiggins submitted her candidate petition to run for the probate/juvenile judgeship, the elections board would not certify it because it contained a mistake — specifically, the wrong date for when the judge’s next term begins. When Wiggins asked the board for a reconsideration hearing, arguing that the mistaken date was an inconsequential error that shouldn’t nullify the petition’s validity, she was turned down. Then this happens..

Wiggens then filed an emergency petition March 10 in Perry County Common Pleas Court, Judge Boyer presiding. Seeking a court order to compel the board to certify her candidacy. But ...as usual

Common Pleas Judge Tina M. Boyer, citing a conflict of interest, asked the Ohio Supreme Court to appoint a visiting judge to hear the case.

Once again, YOU PAY.

  • UPDATE 5/12/26 HERE SHE GOES AGAIN! WE CAN'T AFFORD BOYER'S GAMES!

  •  We have Boyer stepping away from another case! Could it be because she has the same last name as the defendant even though there is no relation to the Boyer in this case? Like so many of her other cases, this case is under appeal also.

BOYER WAITS 16 YEARS TO START A PROGRAM.

MUST BE ELECTION YEAR!

  • Boyer finally reads the writing on the wall and announces a court offender program but only for mental care for the first time!
  • Boyer has been riding along in cruise control and doing very little for us for years.
  • Now comes along her first challenger Republican STEVE CARR and finally she reacts.
  • Will she run from these cases too?
  • Who is going to be the Judge to hear all these new cases? Another visiting Judge?
  • How is this to be funded. If she thinks all offenders will pay for this, I think we know better. Offenders are already buried in court costs, restitution, unemployment and attorney fees.
  • Boyer makes offenders pay to be on probation. (most courts do this)
  • Approximately 50 to 60 percent reoffend it seems.
  • She cares very little about probation and only has it because she has to. Her court goes through Probation Officers like water.
  • It's fair to say programs are definitely needed. Where have they been for the last 16 years?

DID YOU KNOW!

  • The 2024 annual report from the Judicial Assignment Program for the Supreme Court of Ohio shows Boyer spent almost $80k over the last 5 years to pay outside Judges to cover cases that she ran from. This is YOUR money that she spent to hire outside Judges so she can run away from cases she didn't like or couldn't handle and had YOU pay to bring in another Judge to do her job for her.

  • In comparison another Common Pleas division of your courts is Perry County Probate. Probate Court spent only $1,200 during the same period for visiting Judges.

  • Recently Tina walked away from another hot button issue in Perry County. The case involving the Perry County Agriculture Society. You will pay the bill for this visiting Judge in this case as well. She's failing you!

  • More proof Judge Tina runs from cases, and you pay the bill.
  • The treasure of the Northern Local School District (which includes Sheridan High School) was indicted for "miss use of a credit card." Tina used your money to bring in a different Judge to preside over the trial. Her reason to recuse herself you ask. Get this..She recused herself because she lives in Northern Local School District. So, she cares nothing about those who live in "her school district'' and runs from controversy. She has no appetite of making a ruling that might upset her consistory in northern Perry County.
  • Breaking news Northen Local School District covers a huge portion of the northern part of our Perry County!
  • Because she knows someone in her district or maybe YOUR school district, she can't preside over the case in that area? She's failing you.
  • Although this site has no direct option in this case, we continue to hear from our readers saying they are upset with the decision of the visiting Judge in this case, and the defendant should have been sentenced to a term in jail.

  • You the taxpayer pay a magistrate chosen by Tina (A magistrate works for and at the pleasure of the Common Pleas Judge) to handle domestic cases which are ultimately approved/modified/declined under the authority of the sitting Judge.
  • The current Magistrate was handpicked by Tina. This magistrate has been working for the court for almost 16 years. She doesn't live in Perry County and has never lived in Perry County. No other Perry County Attorney was even considered for this position.
  • You the taxpayers are paying that Magistrate $128,960.00 per year plus health insurance and retirement benefits. This is an astonishing amount for such a small court!

  • One key point of being a Judge (any judge)

is your responsibility to sign search warrants.

(those that are legal of course)

  • Tina has never and still refuses to sign search warrants and has proven it over and over again while in office. This forces Law Enforcement to seek out a different Judge sometimes from another county! Once again running away from her responsibility.

UPDATE! Visiting Judge to Be Assigned. Boyer runs away !

WE CAN'T AFFORD BOYER!

Visiting Judge to Be Assigned in Perry County Fairgrounds Lawsuit.

A civil case filed in the Perry County Court of Common Pleas will now be overseen by a visiting judge after the presiding judge (Boyer) recused herself claiming a conflict again.

  • The case, Joe Shaner v. Perry County Agricultural Society, et al. (Case No. 26-CV-00008), was brought by Joe Shaner against the Perry County Agricultural Society and additional defendants. The matter is officially underway in Perry County Common Pleas Court.

  •  In a court order dated February 10, 2026, Judge Tina M. Boyer    stated she has a conflict in the matter and

therefore, cannot preside over the proceedings.

As a result, the court has requested that the Ohio Supreme Court

appoint a visiting judge to handle the case through its conclusion.

  • You are paying for this visiting Judge to do her job for her! Once again failing you.

Since 2013 Boyer has 17 reversals in appeals!!!!

Since 2013 Boyer has 17 reversals of her court decisions.

  •  All public record.

       5th district court of appeals.

  • Boyer has other cases pending before the court of appeals currently, but no decisions have come out.

 17 reversals!

  •  Various reasons. All cases list the reason. Many are stated as "The Court was in error"

  • No wonder she has photos of her with appeals court judges! They know her well since so many of her cases have been thrown out there.

LAZY TINA CAUGHT AT IT AGAIN!

Lazy Tina loves to show you pictures of her meeting visiting Judges in our courtroom. She hasn't been endorsed by these Judges nor have we seen a single picture showing her doing any actual work. People are talking! Open thank you to those that have contacted us with your support!

  • Judge Boyer has her picture taken standing with people but not any of her doing any actual service to the public?

  • Certain search warrants for cell phones, laptops etc. require a Common Pleas Judge to sign off.

  • If Judge Cooperrider is not available, Tina Boyer forces our Law Enforcement to go to Muskingum County to find Judge Cottrell for Perry County search warrants!

  • Why would we keep a Judge that is so scared to sign a legitimate warrant. Likely she's scared to add to her ridicules number of 17 successful appeals against her decisions.

  • We find more and more to report to you. That says a lot.

  • What has she done or not done that we don't know about yet? What about information we have that we won't report here due to our no rumor policy.

Update today 5/15/ 2026

Boyer is on the prowl! Going through neighborhoods begging for your vote. Remember to ask her about all the fact-based information we have posted here! She has no answers! These are proven facts about her failures.

UPDATE! 6/6/26

  • Boyer brags about costing the taxpayers $313,223.33 for paying retired visiting Judges since 2010 because Perry County only had to pay a portion of that.

  • She conveniently failed to mention that using another already sitting Perry County Common Pleas Judge to hear such cases doesn't cost the taxpayers of Ohio anything because sitting Judges are already paid a salary.

  • We have another Common Pleas Judge in Perry County. The Perry County Probate and Juvenile Court currently held by Judge Cooperider. This position is also a Common Pleas Judge. During that whole period, Boyer failed you again by never asking that Judge to hear even one of those cases.

  • If it costs an average of $500 per day for a retired visiting Judge over that period of time, then $313,223.33 in taxpayer cost means that retired visiting judges 626 working days hearing cases from her court--with only 260 potential working days in a year, less about 12 observed holidays when courts are closed, that means that retired visiting judges have done over 2 and a 1/2 YEARS worth of her work since 2010 (626/248 = 2.52). Boyer knows this an issue.

  • She has been posting in local papers about using visiting Judges in an attempt to make us distracted from her obvious failures and reckless spending of your tax dollars.

  • Remember she wants you to believe the felons will pay the monies imposed. Very few will pay the fines she imposes. Boyer has not and likely never will make actions to force these felons to pay.

  • She has addressed her twisted version of use of visiting Judges...but not a single word about all her failures that we have posted here in order for you to be an informed voter.

WE CAN'T AFFORD BOYERS POOR FISCAL JUDGEMENT!
